People News from the Faculty of Science, week 17
On 25 April, Michael Christensen, PhD in Physics and Associate Professor at the Department of Marketing and Management, Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, gave a talk at the Centre for Cosmology, Particle Physics and Phenomenology (CP3-Origins): Code, Search and Change: Models of Organizational Adaptation. This is the fourth Danish Institute for Advanced Study Young Scholars Lecture in 2014.
The University of Chicago Press has published the English edition of “Seaweeds: Edible, Available and Sustainable” by Professor Ole G. Mouritsen, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, and on 23 April he gave a talk in Los Angeles about the science of sushi together with Los Angeles sushi chef Morihiro Onodera. The talk was part of the lecture series Science and Food, presented by the University of California Los Angeles.
On 22 April, Morten Buch Engelund, PhD Fellow at the Department of Biology defended his PhD thesis with the lecture "Epithelial Water Transport in Vertebrates”.
