In the early morning hours on 6 April, biologist Jennifer Lynch, Department of Biology, held a birdwalk at the university for people interested in learning about bird song.
On 10 April, Professor Ole Nørregaard Jensen, Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, organised Computational Biology Minisymposium 2014 at the Faculty of Science, attracting more than 70 attendees. Speakers were Ilia Solov’yov, Fabio Vandin, Christoph Kaleta, Jan Baumbach, Veit Schwaemmle, Anna Chailyan, Vasanthanathan Poongavanam, and Claudio Pica.
Ricardo J. Z. Ferreira, Jonathan Ganc, Rajeev Kumar Jain and Martin S. Sloth from the Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics (CP3-Origins), Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, organised a two-day workshop about the inflation theories behind the Big Bang: Novel Signatures of Inflation 2014. The workshop was held at CP3-Origins on 3-4 April.
