The reference group will ensure an exchange of information with the local community about development. It will create a shared understanding of challenges and help identify and release potential for SDU Sønderborg. In addition, the reference group will help establish cooperation between local businesses, public units and SDU Sønderborg as well as establish attractive study conditions. The reference group will therefore work on all aspects of academic activities at SDU Sønderborg and contribute to these activities reaching the highest international level.

The reference group will draw up a plan for its activities based on an assessment of what is particularly important for the development of SDU Sønderborg. The plan will contain concrete and measurable success criteria for education, research, engaging with society and finances and will be submitted to the SDU Executive Board for approval.
