SDU Kolding has a close contact to the surrounding community in matters of education and research.
In Kolding we offer a unique education programme in entrepreneurship: Bsc in Economics and Business Administration, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
The programme Entrepreneurship and Innovation concerns ”making a difference”. This may be in the sense of starting one’s own business, development of small and medium-sized enterprises or in connection with the creation of new growth companies in major concerns. Together with the strong business economical professional competency on university level that characterises the Economics and Business Administration education programmes, the special relations of the minor companies with key words such as willingness to take a risk, initiative and creativity are in focus.
A new major focus area is design, where the University of Southern Denmark together with the Kolding School of Design initiated a new graduate programme in design management in 2007.
