EIRA Network – Evidence in Research and Action

The Unit is the coordinator of the EIRA network. The EIRA network is to function as a facilitator and bridge builder for national, international and global collaboration and research in the area of bridging the gap between research evidence, practice and policy in public health and health promotion.

NICE Welfare

NICE-Welfare is a cross-disciplinary research program funded by SDU2020.

NICE Welfare takes up the challenges that relate to the development of inclusive and innovative welfare societies, as they are described in Research2020 and Horizon2020. The project combines fields of research within the social sciences, statistics and medicine that are emphasized as central in both research plans. But NICE Welfare decisively improves the possibility to deliver relevant insights by including and combining research fields from history, culture, philosophy and health, which today are considered crucial to acquire a more thorough understanding of the welfare system and to develop sustainable ideas for societal renewal.

 
European Symposium on Substance Use and Abuse among University Students

The Unit is represented in the organizing group of the Symposium on Substance Use and Abuse among University Students. The principal aim of the symposium is to give a platform to scientists and professionals/practitioners in exchanging research findings and best practices concerning alcohol and other drug use and abuse among university students, with special reference to the situation in Europe and to develop common research protocols.

The Nordic Health Promotion Research Network (NHPRN)

The aim of the network is to improve capacity for research and education in the Nordic countries. Representatives from all the Nordic countries participate. The Nordic School of Public Health is coordinating the Network, and the Unit is represented in it, e.g. in chairing the Methods Section.

Circumpolar Health / UArctic Thematic Networks Programme

The Unit is participating actively both in the steering group and in the curriculum of the Master Programme in Circumpolar Health and Well-being (MCH). The University of the Arctic

Public Health Genomics (PHGEN) European Network

The Unit is represented in PHGEN and its successor, a research project called PHGEN II (see projects).

International Collaborative Studies Committee of the International Society of Behavioral Medicine

A unit staff member is chairing this committee.
