Dobbelt pristildeling til dansk forsker i Chicago
Professor dr. med. Peter Bie er blevet tildelt to prestigefyldte priser inden for sit område fra American Physiological Society; den såkaldte Ernest B. Starling Award og Leonard Share Award.
Ved det årlige møde i American Physiological Society i Chicago fik professor, dr.med. Peter Bie, SDU, søndag overrakt to priser, som ikke tidligere er tilfaldet skandinaviske forskere. Ernest B. Starling Award gives for langvarig, original videnskabelig indsats, og Leonard Share Award tildeles personer, som har ydet en særlig indsats i selskabets tjeneste. Peter Bie arbejder med betydningen af salt for blodtryk og væskebalance, og æresforedraget [award lecture] omhandlede reguleringen af saltstofskiftet under titlen ’Mechanisms of sodium balance’.
Starling Award
The Ernest H. Starling Distinguished Lectureship Award is the most prestigious of the APS Water and Electrolyte Homeostasis Section awards and is awarded annually to an APS member recognized for exceptional contributions and lifelong dedication to Water and Electrolyte Homeostasis research. You were chosen by the WEH Section as a representative of the best within the discipline.
Leonard Share Award
APS Water and Electrolyte Homeostasis Section award in recognition of distinguished service, time and talents and research contribution to the knowledge of water and electrolyte homeostasis.
