Masterclass ved professor, Jan Mieszkowski - Reed College
This course offers up to 5 PhD-students the chance to have a masterclass with Professor Jan Mieszkowski. It consists in an introduction to and discussion of a section from Derrida’s The Death Sentence. This is followed by a feedback session during which Professor Mieszkowski will discuss work by the graduate students. Jan Mieszkowski is Professor of German and Comparative Literature at Reed College, and he has written extensively within the fields of aesthetics, critical theory, and warfare. He is the author of Labors of Imagination: Aesthetics and Political Economy from Kant to Althusser (Fordham University Press 2006) and Watching War (Stanford University Press, 2012). He is currently completing a book entitled Crises of the Sentence.
