Barbara Caputo is a computer scientist specialising in robotics and artificial intelligence.
She wears many hats at Politecnico di Torino: Full Professor, Head of the VANDAL Laboratory, Rector’s Advisor on Artificial Intelligence, and Director of the Hub AI@PoliTo.
Caputo is also a board member and co-founder of the ELLIS society and has been among the 100 esperte for Italy, a database of prestigious female scholars, since 2016.
In 2021, Caputo became an honorary doctor at SDU’s Faculty of Engineering for her work in artificial intelligence and robotics.
