How abusive actions are handled at SDU

Employees at SDU

If you, as an employee at SDU, experience abusive behaviour, you can contact your union representative and health and safety representative in confidence or use SDU’s psychologist scheme, which offers anonymity. If you reach out to your immediate manager, the management has a duty to act.
You can also reach out via SDU’s whistleblower scheme. It is up to you whether you want to remain anonymous or state your name. The law firm Poul Schmith screens all reports, and then SDU's whistleblower team assesses each report in relation to what further action should be taken.

Students at SDU

If you have been exposed to offensive behaviour in connection with your studies, you can report your experience through SPOC. The inquiry is sent directly to Student Services. They will assess each report in relation to what further action should be taken.
You also have the opportunity to have a confidential chat with either Student Service’s academic lawyers or our study and well-being counsellors without going through SPOC.

Particularly serious cases

In the event of particularly serious cases, the Rectorate is informed. The Legal Office and SDU HR will also typically be involved in such cases. Any external legal investigations are initiated exclusively after a management decision made by SDU.
