Food System Change at FoodLab – Create it! Taste it!

FoodLab is a food living lab in the centre of Kolding. It is located at Riberdyb 10 together with FoodReformers, Fællesskabet Kolding, artists and designers in residence. FoodLab is a research and innovation space where citizens can visit to experiment with food, participate in workshops and green interventions, as well as learn more about the Food 2030 policy in Kolding. Food 2030 in Kolding is part of FUSILLI, a four-year EU research project. We invite you to participate in the following events:

  • 12.30-14.00 Make a ‘Bug Hotel’ – a workshop for all ages. You will have the opportunity to make and take home your own “but hotel” and to help us learn about our local pollinators. This activity will launch the Pollinator Project, a citizen science project to map and expand the map of pollinator-friendly hotels and gardens around Kolding.
  • 13.00-14.00 Creating your own food packaging: Are you curious about how you can use bioplastics to make sustainable packaging? If so, don’t miss out on this activity, which teaches you how to make your own bioplastic creations and engage in hands-on activities.
  • 14.30-15.30 Cooking with… a local producer. Join us online to cook with a local producer and to hear about their sustainable practices.
  • 16.00-17.00 Experiencing CarbonEra: Join us for a time travel to 2080 and experience how design can be used to imagine the future and to work hands-on with climate and food system change. This playful workshop will be hosted by the volunteers of Food Reformers.

Activities are open to people of all ages, for the young, the curious, and the young at heart. We are looking forward to seeing you!
