Jesper Grud Skat Madsen, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has defended his PhD thesis The Role of ChREBP in β-cell Function and Dysfunction.
Postdoc Søren Fisker Schmidt, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, has received DKK 3,905,000 from the Novo Nordisk Foundation for the project titled: Hepatic dysfunction in Cancer Cachexia, to be carried out at the Helmholz Zentrum München.
Charlotte Damsgaard and Christian Brandt Jørgensen, Medical Laboratory Technicians at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, have received PRAKTIKANTVEJLEDERPRISEN 2016 from Dansk Laborant-Forening.

Ormond MacDougald has been appointed as an Adjunct Professor in Biochemistry and Metabolism at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He will be hosted by the group of Professor Susanne Mandrup while at BMB. Professor MacDougald comes from Department of Molecular & Integrative Physiology and Internal Medicine, University of Michigan.
Dorthe Bomholdt Ravnsbæk, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, has received the L’Oréal-UNESCO award Rising Talent 2016 for her work with developing new battery technologies for more efficient, economical energy use and greater energy storage capacity.
