The Faculty of Humanities covers a host of subjects from modern and classical language and literature to history, philosophy, media studies and the communication sciences.
The wide range of courses on offer - some traditional, some innovative and interdisciplinary - all aim to help students gain a better understanding of human thought, creative arts and communication. Students are encouraged to think, argue and evaluate such that they acquire the skills and training so necessary in their future careers.
The Faculty is the largest at the University of Southern Denmark. The Faculty has more than 640 full- and part time staff and more than 5,000 students on roll. The Faculty has teaching, curriculum development and research activities in the campuses in Odense, Kolding, Sønderborg/Flensborg, Slagelse and Esbjerg.
