You should consult the academic or international advisor attached to your faculty to clarify if studying abroad is relevant to your studies, and in particular if there are certain conditions you need to take into account, for example when looking for courses at the exchange university.

It is important that you consider if it is realistic that the Study Board (Studienævn) will preapprove (forhåndsgodkende) your study abroad period, as you are not guaranteed to get credit for the period after without it. Without a preapproval you will also suffer being excluded from the grant options offered through SDU. Furthermore, many private scholarships and grants require a preapproval (forhåndsgodkendelse) when you apply.
