SDU International Club

Each month the SDU International Club arranges a number of social and cultural activities with the aim of helping our staff from abroad to adjust more easily into their new way of life in Denmark. The activities are for everybody, internationals as well as Danes, who are employed at SDU and their accompanying spouse/partner/kids.

The intention of the SDU International Club is to provide the international staff with a sense of belonging and facilitate a contact between the university employees, both foreign and Danish. This is to help the newcomers with creating a network and to help the internationals to understand the Danish culture better. In that way they can make the most of this new experience of living and working in a different country. The SDU International club gives you the opportunity to meet with people in a similar situation. Our activities/events take place for most parts in Odense, but we also have excursions around Denmark. For events and contact at campus Kolding, Esbjerg and Sønderborg, please have a look at the menu to the right.

We mail out a monthly newsletter where the different events will be mentioned as well as other events going on in the city/area near you. So please feel free to sign up for our newsletter as it is a great way for SDU internationals to know what is going on. Send an e-mail to Annika Jarl: jarl@sdu.dk.

Besides the newsletter we have a Facebook page, and it would be a great idea to sign up for that too as a lot of the upcoming events will be posted on the page.

Some of the ongoing activities/events in the SDU International Club is mentioned in the menu to the right. It varies of course from time to time due to; season, wishes from the participants, etc.

To see what has been going on during the latest years, please have a look at the newsletters below.
