Summer Course: Environmental Technology for the Treatment and Management of Bio-Waste Manure

Total course fee: 850,- EUR (Incl. course material and two vocational tours)
The course will include
- Membrane transport process theory and modeling
- Experimental work on separation and fractionation of digestate from biogas production incl. separation by decanter centrifuge, micro-/ultrafiltration with ceramic membranes, membrane distillation and reverse osmosis using polymeric membranes.
- Characterization and analysis related to the separations above
- Plant design and economical evaluations of membrane (and other separation) processes
- Relevant company visits and excursions
Course specific content will be adjusted to the individual participant’s prior knowledge and desired output with respect to connection to his or her research activities.
Evaluation:
Evaluation will be based on a report submitted after the course to the instructors.
Upon evaluation the course is assessed as passed or no-pass.

Accomodation
Regarding travel and accommodation, info and help will be provided.
Accommodation is recommended at Cold College at a rate of ~ 400 DKK/d incl. breakfast and dinner (limited no. of beds, 10 mins. walk from TEK).
At Odense Danhostel City (Youth hostel), prices will be from 1940 DKK/4 nigths/1 person pr room, 690 DKK/night/with 4 persons pr room (incl. taxes, without breakfast, 10 mins by bus)
