ReUseWaste
The course provides theoretical and practical knowledge on membrane contactors, ultrafiltration, microfiltration, membrane distillation and reverse osmosis with focus on separation of agricultural manures and waste products into fractions with improved fertiliser value. Relevant company visits will be included.
This International training course on applied membrane technology is an advanced course into the project ReUseWaste-Recovery and Use of Nutrients, Energy and Organic Matter from Animal Waste included in the Marie Curie Actions-Initial Training Networks (ITN), FP7-PEOPLE-2011-ITN, organized by University of Southern Denmark.
It is an excellent opportunity to achieve advanced knowledge about:
- Advanced membrane transport process theory
- Advanced modelling of membrane modules and processes
- Characterization and analysis of manure and derived products
- Experimental work on manure separation by membranes in lab-scale
- Fouling characterization, processes and modelling
- Plant design and economical evaluation of membrane processes
