Application procedure
The deadline for applications under quota 2 is 15 March at 12.00 and, under quota 1, 5 July at 12.00. Applications received at the University of Southern Denmark before the deadline on 15 March at 12.00 will be evaluated under both quota 2 and quota 1. Remember: you are responsible for ensuring that your application is received at the University of Southern Denmark within the deadline and that it is completed correctly.
Application form
Application forms will become available at www.optagelse.dk from 1 February. You have to submit an application electronically, irrespective of whether you are applying under quota 1 or 2.
When you submit an electronic application, you will be informed on the receipt page that information on your examinations will be sent straight to the university. If you are informed on the application confirmation that the university has not received your examination certificates electronically, you must forward them to the university yourself. When you submit an electronic application for admission under quota 2, you must also remember to find out whether you are required to submit a motivated application for the programme you are applying for.
Apply without NemID on www.optagelse.dk
You must enter all information. The application will be saved on this site as you enter the information. Print the signature page of the application for each study programme applied for, sign it and send it to: optag@sdu.dk or by mail to: SDU, Campusvej 55, 5230 Odense M, Denmark. Please note that the remaining documents must be uploaded to www.optagelse.dk. The educational institution will then download your application from this site. It is your responsibility to ensure that the signed signature page reaches the educational institution before the application deadline 15th of March.
Please note that all communication concerning your application will be digital. Shortly after 8 March 2013 you will receive a receipt for your application by e-mail. In this e-mail you are referred to the Admission Self-service where you will be able to follow the status of your application during the application procedure.
Exemption
There are special rules for applicants who have previously been admitted to two further or higher education programmes without having completed them and for applicants who are already graduates. In both cases, you must apply for exemption from the enrolment rules.
Confirmation
All applicants will be notified regarding the programme they have been enrolled in on 30 July. If you have been offered a place at the University of Southern Denmark, you must confirm that you want it no later than 6 August 2012. You can confirm your acceptance of the place you have been offered via Admission Self-service. Failure to confirm will result in the loss of your place.
Special educational support for the disabled
If you have a handicap or a physical or mental disability, you may be able to obtain Special educational support (SPS). If so, we recommend that you apply for admission no later than 15 March and draw attention to your need for support.
