If you are thinking about applying for a Bachelor programme or a Bachelor of Engineering programme at the University of Southern Denmark, the following pages provide you with a guide to admission rules and application procedures.
Enrolment in all further and higher education programmes in Denmark is carried out through the Coordinated Admission System (KOT). You have to apply for enrolment digitally at KOT's website, www.optagelse.dk.
Please note that all communication concerning your application will be digital. Shortly after 8 March 2013 you will receive a receipt for your application by e-mail. In this e-mail you are referred to the admission self service where you will be able to follow the status of your application during the application procedure.
The rules and procedures for enrolment differ according to your educational background and which programme you are applying for.
The best match
The University of Southern Denmark always wishes to be able to identify those students with the best background for completing a programme, and this includes considerations regarding goal-directedness, motivation and academic proficiency. Our objective when admitting students is to ensure "the best match" between the student and the programme. This is one reason why the University of Southern Denmark has been given permission to retain the large number of quota 2 places in the university's health science programmes.
Grade point average guarantee
A grade point average guarantee of 6.0 exists for a number of the programmes within the Humanities. This means that you can be certain of a place in some of these programmes, if you have an average grade of 6.0 or more in your qualifying examination and fulfil the specific admission requirements. See list of programmes with a grade point average guarantee.
