In order to be admitted to the MSc honours programme in Interdisciplinary science studies you must have completed a bachelor degree in Natural sciences from either a Danish or a foreign university. A bachelor degree in sports, geology or geography does not entitle to admission.
In addition, the following admission requirements apply:
a) Applicants must provide documentation of proficiency in English. For further information please consult our language requirements.
b) You must hand in a preliminary project description of the envisioned dissertation (approx. two pages).
On the basis of your application for admission you will be invited to an interview in which the study programme for the MSc will be discussed. As this is an Honours programme, we kindly draw your attention to the fact that your grades are expected to be placed in the top end of the grading scale (we recommend that you only apply if you have passed the qualifying bachelor degree with an average of at least 9.5 on the 7-point scale (corresponing to B on the ECTS scale). By average is meant that all grades are added and then divided by the number of exams. The average is estimated on the basis of all graded exams on your bachelor diploma).
In case of there being more applicants than seats, candidates will be selected on the basis of an admission test. The admission test has two parts with one being a multiple choice test and the other an interview.
The multiple choice test includes questions testing you in three areas - quantitative, critical and linguistic argumentations.
The interview will be structured in such a way that you will be tested in the following
- motivation
- personal integrity and cooperation
- cognitive ability
- communication and ethics
Candidates are selected on the basis of their overall score in both tests.
Admittance will be based on a general assessment of all of the above. Application deadline for admission on 1 September is 1 February. A maximum of 20 students will be admitted to the programme in order to ensure its honours profile.
