Programme structure
M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Management requires two years of full time study. The curriculum is built up upon a quarter structure, which means that new courses begin four times a year. The entire programme is therefore 8 quarters in all and each quarter constitutes15 ECTS.
All compulsory courses are taking place at the first 4 quarters (the first year) constituting 60 ECTS in all. At the 5th and 6th quarters you will be able to take elective courses, constituting 30 ECTS, while the 7th and 8th quarters are intended for writing the master thesis also constituting 30 ECTS.

Course Descriptions
Electives
A total of 30 ECTS, all of which are placed in 5. and 6. quarters, can be taken in three different ways:
Alternative 1: 30 ECTS taken as a combination of project courses, study courses and projects from the list of electives offered by the two Esbjerg universities.
Alternative 2: 30 ECTS taken in total or in part from other universities, either in Denmark or abroad.
Alternative 3: 10 ECTS taken as electives or projects and 20 ECTS taken as credit for practical experience. Reporting of this practice period is required.
