This MSc full degree programme in Biology - marine science is offered in English.
Join our programme in Biology - Marine science to learn in depth about life in the sea, how marine organisms interact with one another and with their environment, and how human activities influence marine ecosystems, including the management of marine resources.
Courses are taught by internationally recognized researchers who cover almost all aspects of the marine system: from microbes to whales, and from physiology to system ecology and global biogeochemistry.

Our courses are mainly experimental and several include fieldwork, taking advantage of the easy access to a wide range of coastal environments provided by our location. The programme has a particular focus on near-shore ecosystems but also includes global issues such as the impact of anthropogenic CO2 emissions on marine ecosystems.
The degree will be awarded in Biology, and the profile in Marine science will be described on the degree certificate as a Research profile.
