BSc Sociology and Cultural Analysis is a 3-year programme in which you participate in courses in the fields of sociology and anthropology with specific focus on qualitative methods.
During the programme you will achieve a profound sociocultural insight into society, and acquire knowledge about the different contexts that processes of change in society take place within.
Courses such as General Sociology, Living Conditions and Lifestyles, Public Administration, Organizational Sociology, Economical Sociology and Sociology of Culture will enable you to analyze the structures, the systems, the cultures and the values of modern society as well as people in groups.
A practical and internationally oriented education
While receiving a solid theoretical foundation during the programme, you will also apply this knowledge. You will learn to link the different theories with relevant issues in businesses, for instance during the practice-oriented projects, and you will become capable of handling complex problems and facilitating processes of development and processes of change in organizations, as well as in society in general.
You will also have the possibility of adding an international angle to your profile. The 5th semester can either consist of studying or getting an internship abroad. Should you choose to stay at home, the courses will be in English to strengthen your international competencies.
Apply for a job or continue studying
After graduation you will be well equipped to occupy a job in public administration and ministries or in interest groups and private organizations. You can for instance act as a bridge-builder and problem solver in the encounter between different social, ethnic or professional groups.
