The programme takes 4 years of study for students who do not have the Danish A-level in Chinese, and 3 years for students who have the Danish A-level, when they start.
You will learn to take responsibility for business processes that demand economic insight in combination with linguistic, cultural and social competencies in Chinese at an advanced level.
Our program is international, which means that both the language of instruction as well as course materials are in English. Moreover, many of your classmates will be from countries other than your own.
Knowledge of Chinese is not a prerequisite for our language instruction, however Chinese is a difficult language to learn and you should be prepared for this instruction comprising a good part of your studies.
Many languages are spoken in China, though mutual understanding can be assured by a common symbolic writing system not comparable to our alphabets. You will learn the most widely spoken language in China, Mandarin Chinese. And you will learn to read and write using the simplified writing system originating in the People's Republic of China, yet understandable throughout the Chinese speaking world. Language instruction will make up up to 50% in your first two years of study.
Studies in China
In the third year of studies you will learn to use the language, and that of course is best done in China at one of our partner univsities there. Your studies here will focus on spoken and written language proficiency, as well as Chinese culture and social studies. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to arrange an internship and thereby obtain experience which is useful for your future career possibilities.
For the fourth year of the program, you will return to Denmark. Your studies will now focus on economics, Chinese society and market conditions.
