The BA in Modern Languages and Intercultural Communication is a 3-year study programme made up of 3 main components:
Foreign language 1 and 2
Culture and Intercultural Communication
Foundation courses
Throughout the three years of the programme you will study the two language modules German/Danish (43 ECTS credits) and English (42 ECTS credits), where you will be introduced to the way language is organized as a system and how it is used in a range of business contexts. You will develop competence in describing and analysing language, and you will acquire a range of writing and interactional skills that allow you to communicate in different real-life contexts. Within the third core module, Communication and Intercultural Communication (25 ECTS credits), you will learn about the relationship between language, society, and culture; you will get insight in language teaching and learning, as well as into translation as a means of culture mediation. These three core areas are supplemented by foundational courses which lay the theoretical and methodological groundwork for academic study and advance your knowledge of language use in authentic contexts (25 ECTS credits).
