In the Pharmacist programme, you learn about the development in pharmaceuticals and you get an outlet for your creative skills and laboratory experience.
In the Pharmacist programme, you will discover how to develop and produce medication and gain a deeper understanding of what pharmaceuticals consist of and how different types of medication work.

In the bachelor programme of pharmacy, you are taught in several different subjects, such as:
- the pharmaceutical courses
- the medical courses
- the chemical courses
- the biochemical courses
This combination creates the central elements of pharmacy and give you a solid foundation from which to work on with medications. The Pharmacist programme takes 5 years to complete, since you must complete both the bachelor and master’s programme to become a pharmacist.

Career as a pharmacist
When, after 5 years of studies, you become a fully trained pharmacist (cand.pharm), you can get an attractive career in i.e. medical companies or the biotech industry, or you can work in a pharmacy or hospital. You may also run a pharmacy as a pharmacist.
