A bachelor of Economics and Business Administration has competences for employment within practically all corporate administrative functions, e.g. accounting, IT, marketing, planning, personnel administration and organisation.
Knowledge competences
With a Bachelor degree in General Business Economics students acquire theoretical knowledge of and methods for business economic problem solving. Students are acquainted with core disciplines such as: Marketing, financing, corporate economy, organisation and accounting.
You learn about theories in a research context, essential tendencies in research development, and are thus able to reflect upon the limitations and potential of a theory or the applicability of a method in relation to a specific business economic issue.
You furthermore learn about the interplay of microeconomic and macroeconomic factors and how these control the enterprise’s national and global action. Finally you gain knowledge of the legal framework of an enterprise and the use of IT in industries.
Skills and competences
Your skills and competences within theoretical and methodological business economics will enable you, independently or in a team, to address business economics problems.
By applying the theories and scientific methods of the subject, you will able to:
- identify, structure and substantiate a concrete, unknown theoretical or practical problem,
- acquire and demonstrate relevant and current knowledge about the subject matter of the issue,
- plan and execute a survey that can provide background to answer the problem and, in this context, identify, estimate and apply relevant information sources,
- from the survey results, point at a possible solution to the problem,
- assess the limitations in the performed survey, the applicability of the results as well as to contextualize these and finally,
- disseminate the results and their basis, in writing and verbally using information technology, to a given decision-maker and to the university.

The education qualifies you for admission to the MSc in Economics and Business Administration and the MSc in Business Administration and Auditing. The programme also qualifies you for admission to other Graduate programmes.
