The universal language is English, and while studying English in Kolding you will get a thorough knowledge of the global diversity of the English language, literature and history.
The diversity of the universal language
For centuries, the English language has spread from the British Isles to large parts of the world. In our electronic age, English is the predominant language - the globalisation process is in English. The English programme in Kolding focuses on Great Britain and the US, as the centres of the dissemination of the English language and culture, as well as on the many areas of the world to which the language has spread such as Australia, South Africa and India.
Study periods abroad
As a student of English it is obviously a good idea to spend a semester abroad. The English programme in Kolding will help you do this. We have agreements with several foreign universities, and you may decide to spend a semester in Great Britain, Australia or the US.
Programme structure
The first two years of the Bachelor programme in English is referred to as the central subject. You will be following a number of courses centered on the English language, literature and history. During the third year of your BA, you must follow an elective at another programme.
