I wanted to go to Europe and experience a different culture, and people around me told me about the Scandinavian culture. I chose the University of Southern Denmark because it has one of the biggest research areas in surface chemistry.
What I particularly like about Denmark is the people; they are very polite! The Danish way of thinking impressed me; people do not judge you depending on how you dress, talk or express yourself. Finally, I like very much the use of the bike!
Studying in Denmark is quite different from what I was used to. I have to say that having several examiners whenever you are performing an oral examination not only pushes you to improve your speaking abilities but more importantly teaches you to be clear and use the proper terminology.
I didn’t have to learn Danish in order to study in Denmark. An impressively high percentage of the population speaks English, and I never had any problems communicating even with the elderly.
