The Bachelor Programme in Economics and Information Technology is a theoretical and practical degree programme. The object is to provide the student with a broad-based perspective and basis of experience of the key issues and problems facing private and public organisations, especially in terms of the use of information technology.
The programme aims at providing the graduates with theoretical and practical qualifications. Furthermore, the programme aims at qualifying the graduates for post-graduate studies in the MSc. programmes in business economy and IT.
The programme aims at enabling the students to handle and process issues of an economic, business-economic or IT-related nature and by applying the theories and methodologies of the social sciences to acquire the skills to work independently or in co-operation with others in order to:

identify and define specific problems in relation to the individual organisation/company or group of organisations/companies,

submit motivated proposals for the solution or remedying of identified problems on the basis of a systematic approach and the use of theory and practical experience,

analyse and assess the consequences for the organisation as well as other relevant groups within and outside the organisation,

provide financial, IT-related and managerial solutions to the problems,

increase and develop their academic knowledge and skills through the reading of specialist literature at a scientific level and through greater practical experience to

acquire the skills to work professionally with computer-science problems in practice.
