Over the past year we have been working on the development of the university’s future Strategy Statement. We are now approaching the end of the road and are therefore sending the strategy on to a third and final consultation before it is revised and approved by the Board of Governors in December. The previous two consultation rounds have covered the broad outlines of the strategy. This final consultation round is focusing on further improving and fine-tuning the course that has been proposed and on getting a grip of the roots of the strategy.
We have, therefore, formulated two main focus points for this third round of consultation:
- The content of the strategy: The overall direction is now in place, but we can be even sharper on the detail. We are therefore asking for input that improves and fine-tunes initiatives, actions and aims.
- The roots of the strategy: The University of Southern Denmark is and should continue to be a diverse university with a strong common core. The aim is not to reinvent ourselves but to use the strategy as a tool to create an even stronger university with space for dynamics and difference. For the strategy to become a reality requires everyone at the university to translate it into local ideas and actions. The strategy has not yet been approved, but we want you already to begin considering how you will contribute to turning it into a reality in your particular sphere of activity. We would really like to hear your thoughts, so that we can test whether the strategy can be used and translated into local practice.
Please send your replies to this consultation round to
