Reaxys (formerly CrossFire)
Reaxys is based on the combined content of the Beilstein, Gmelin and Patent Chemistry databases. It provides all of the functionality of CrossFire and more.
It does not require installation, will run on PCs or Macintosh computers, and supports Internet Explorer (6.0 or higher), Firefox (1.5 or higher) and Safari (2 or higher).

Web access to Scifinder Scholar (Chemical Abstract online).
Access to Scifinder Scholar has until now been based on a client installed on the PC of individual users. Now web access is offered for staff and students at SDU. The functionality of the product is the same but also included now is the possibility of search profiles as well as archiving search results.
Remote access can be obtained in the same manner as for the other library databases.

Springer Materials (former Landolt-Börnstein)
Springer Materials, the new Landolt-Börnstein database is a comprehensive and unique web-based resource for physical and chemical data. The database includes more than 165,000 substances and materials properties of 3000, 120,000 characters and more than 1 million literature citations. The new search flat includes keywords and advanced search. There is also the possibility to scan the item, Landolt-Börnstein Volume and the periodic table.
All this data can save researchers and students valuable time by a quick access to the properties of substances, functional relationships and numerical data.
Springer Materials supersedes the printed version, where the library had subscribed until 2000, when the price of the product increased significantly.
The Library has signed a subscription with the general campus access and use will be assessed continually.
