Welcome to COHERE - Centre of Health Economics Research
COHERE is embedded in the Department of Business and Economics and the Institute of Public Health. The health economics research at the centre applies economic theory and methods to issues related to health and the provision of health care services. The research projects are founded in microeconomics, econometrics, accounting and management science.
The centre has six research programmes with a broad portfolio of health economics research projects. Many of the projects involve collaboration with health professional researchers from medical science and public health.
COHERE's employees contribute to Bsc and Msc programmes in economics and to a number of study programmes for non-economists.
The centre has more than 40 employees, and this number is expected to increase in the coming years due to recruitment of the best health economists nationally and internationally.
