Research and teaching with focus on modern mechatronics, including design and business aspects.
At the Mads Clausen Institute (MCI) we are engaged in research, education, and development within 21st century mechatronics, including systemic aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering as well as participatory design and innovation aspects. We offer undergraduate and graduate engineering programmes in both Danish and English.
The institute’s research and teaching activities are performed in close collaboration with industrial companies and their cluster organisations in Southern Denmark.
MCI is located in the exciting university building Alsion, characterized by a personal but international environment. It houses state-of-the-art laboratory and teaching facilities – among others the only cleanroom facility in Southern Denmark.
The Mads Clausen Institute is part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Southern Denmark. The institute is named after the founder of Danfoss A/S, denoting the close relationship to the Danfoss Foundation.
