The institute of psychology's vision is to develop itself as a leading international research institute that creates new knowledge about the human psychological function during the life story together with the work with developmental barriers with an eye to facilitating change.
The institute of psychology is organised within four research and educational pillars:
Health psychology, clinical psychology, pedagogical psychology, and working and organisational psychology.
The purpose of the institute is to do research that,
- increases the understanding of disease mechanisms focusing on the interplay between psychological and bio-physiological processes that contributes to diseases and prevention
- contributes to develop treatments and interventions for people with various psychological and bio-physiological problems
- produces and communicates knowledge that may help solve psychological problems related to the health sector, psychiatry, educational system, private or public companies, and society.
