A brand new department with a wide range of activities.
As a result of the reorganization of the departments of the Faculty of Humanities, the activities in Jutland have been merged into one department – the Department of Design and Communication (DDC).
The Department of Design and Communication comprises Design, International Business Communication, Information Studies, Tourism, Chinese and Library Science, and the activities are geographically placed in Kolding, Esbjerg, Sønderborg and Flensburg .
On the organizational level, the staff of the department comes from three of the former departments – i.e. the former Department of Business Communication and Information Studies, the group of design researchers from the Department of Literature, Media and Cultural Studies as well as the researchers in tourism from the Department of History and Civilization. Head of Department is Per Krogh Hansen.
The fall of 2012 will be a transition period during which the new department will come together and where future strategies are planned so that we can present a shared vision for the Humanities in Jutland January 1st 2013.
The new home page of the Department of Design and Communication is under construction. You can find information on staff activities by visiting the home pages of the former departments until then.
