The Department of Border Region Studies at the University of Southern Denmark will annually award the IFG Best Thesis Award to a Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis. The award is 10,000 DKK and is provided with kind support of the Sønderjyllands Forskningsfond.
The price is awarded to students enrolled in one of the departments study programmes and have finished their Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis before August 1st each year. Theoretical as well as applied works are eligible.
Applications have to be submitted to the advisory committee no later than August 31st each year by the supervisor(s). The proposals must contain:
a) The grade of the thesis,
b) A brief review of the work (including problem, objective/research question, sketch of the conceptual framework, structure of the thesis, positive as well as negative evaluation), and
c) At least two reasons why the thesis is regarded as outstanding.
The evaluation of the applications will take place during October. The awarded thesis/theses will be ceremoniously presented at the annually “IFG on the Map”-event.
