The Environmental Stress Group conducts both basic and strategic research in aquatic toxicology and ecotoxicology. Principle areas of research are: Trace metals in the aquatic environment, metallothionein synthesis, arsenic in aquatic ecosystems and seafood, and oestrogen mimicking compounds. Aspects of this research are carried out in collaboration with other research groups within the Biology Institute, other institutes of University of Southern Denmark and other academic and governmental organisations both national and international.
