The centre will work with themes that lie within result contracts, and these are negotiated with The Ministry for Cities, Housing and Rural Areas on the basis of the centre’s suggestions. The result contracts ensure that research be grounded on a concrete and empirical base. The centre will create synergy and extra value for both the ministry and SDU by attracting external funding for academically oriented research projects, PhD courses, elucidations, etc. The choice of elucidation, development and communication assignments should be driven by:
- The fact that it follows on the centre’s research, thus making it possible to draw on existing research results.
- And/or contribution to the long termed research structure, for instance by giving access to data and/or analysis results of scientific relevance.
