The Nordic Centre of Excellence (NCoE), The Nordic Welfare State - Historical Foundations and Future Challenges (Nordwel) and the Centre for Welfare State Research at the University of Southern Denmark organise an international conference about "Cross-disciplinary Perspectives on Welfare State Development." The conference takes place in Odense, 14-16 June 2012.
Welfare states have been and can be studied from a number of theoretical and methodological approaches, with various chronological perspectives and with a focus on different empirical phenomena. With this conference it is our aim to stimulate cross-disciplinary and multi-perspective discussions. Our aim is to bring together Ph.D. students and senior scholars from different disciplines and to stimulate a discussion that will challenge and maybe bring us beyond well established concepts and understandings.
