Luciana Tavares from NanoSYD at The Mads Clausen Institute (MCI) just received a grant of 2 million kroner from the Danish Agency for Science, Technology and Innovation|Danish Council for Technology and Innovation for a project about investigations of a new optoelectronic component with applications within areas such as light sources, solar cells, and sensors.
Flensburg Brewery and Arla to test Lab-on-Chip

The Mads Clausen Institute receives grant for new solar cell project

The Fabrikant Mads Clausen Foundation has granted an amount of more than half a million DKK to the research project High-efficient solar cells for PV units”. The purpose of this nano project is to research and develop organic solar cells, which in the shape of a very thin film potentially can be mounted on roofs or windows.

Professor Katharina Al-Shamery, a renowned professor of chemistry at the university in Oldenburg, has been employed as an honorary professor at the Mads Clausen Institute (MCI), University of Southern Denmark, since 1 July. Hereby the University of Southern Denmark strengthens its focus on organic molecular nanotechnology.
