The Danish language is hard to learn – even for Danish children. At the Center for Child Language, we research how children learn language.
The Center combines research and development in one environment that works specifically with Danish children’s early language acquisition. We document how Danish children learn language, and investigate the processes that are necessary for language acquisition. We research, for example, the factors that hinder or support language acquisition, and the aspects of Danish, which pose a particular challenge to small children. The Center is composed of a dynamic team of researchers, staff and PhD students, and participates in a growing number of international collaborations and networks.
