The Centre for Art and Science is an exploration lab for new forms of expression and communication. The overall goal of the Centre is to communicate science and create art. The Centre for Art and Science falls under the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.
Distinctively for all of the Centre’s activities is the use of artistic methods, artistic means of expression such as theatre, music, multimedia, video – and visual art in the communication of science.
Since 2005 the Centre for Art and Science has arranged, developed, and produced a number of science theatrical performances, events, TV programmes, exhibitions, debates and concerts, where scientific research meets artistic practices.
The Centre's work also includes communication training, developing research-based teaching materials, video podcasts, films, and event and conference design for Denmark's Radio, the Ministry of Science, the Ministry of Refugee, Immigration and Integration Affairs, University College Lillebælt, and the Southern Danish Region.
