Associate Professor Nasrullah Memon from the Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute has been appointed editor-in-chief of the journal Social Network Analysis and Mining, which is published by the Springer publishing company.
The fast growing interest in social networks has motivated the need for a specialised forum where a wide number of researchers and other key persons can find relevant and qualified knowledge. Therefore the Springer publishing company has launched the journal
Social Network Analysis and Mining, which is a new interdisciplinary journal with Associate Professor Nasrullah Memon as editor-in-chief.
Nasrullah Memon is one of the leading researchers at the counter-terrorism research unit, Counter-terrorism Research Lab, at
The Maersk Mc-Kinney Moller Institute. He researches in new mathematical models and data processing methods which, among other things, are used to analyse social networks. The methods can, for example, be used to identify terrorist networks.
Diverse readership
The journal is intended for both academia and industry. Moreover, readers from the fields of social science, mathematics, medicine and computer science may also benefit from the topics of the journal.
Social Network Analysis and Mining will be published for the first time in August 2010.
