The faculty's Academic Council comprises six members of the academic staff, three students and two technical-administrative personnel, and has the Dean as chair.
The Academic Council may make statements on all academic issues of substantial relevance to the activities of the Faculty and has a duty to discuss academic issues presented to them by the Dean. The council meets twice each term.
The academic council has the tasks of making statements to the Dean on the internal distribution of funds, on central strategic research questions and educational issues and plans for knowledge exchange, make recommendations to the Dean on the composition of academic committees to assess applicants for academic positions and award PhD and doctoral degrees.
