Podcasts have very broad applications in teaching, among other things they may help in solving the logistical problems that occur when demonstrations have to be shown to a large group of students, or make demonstrations available so that students can watch or listen to them repeatedly.
Examples on the use of podcasting in teaching:
- Audio files for language teaching
- Video instructions for experimental setups
- Video instructions for surgery and stitching of wounds
- Video instructions on laboratory safety etc.
It is also a possibility to let the students use podcasting for documentation purposes or for the reporting of results.
The e-learn Support Center can introduce you to selected software and hardware that will make it easy for you to get started with the recording and editing of audio/video and the podcasting proces. You are also welcome to drop by, and have a discussion with us on how to implement podastings in your teaching.
