Student Services provides service for prospective and current students. Such as services in counselling, admission, international students and much more. The office is organised in seven main areas.

Admission and counselling
Information, counselling and admission of new students to ordinary study programmes, including bridging activities and Information Day. Registration, e.g. leave, termination, change of study programme etc.
Student service counter
Provides general information on the university and assists students with questions on IT, student card, printouts etc., and refers students to the relevant administrative units.
State Education Grant and Loan Scheme
Information, counselling and administration of the above.
KarriereCentret (CareerCentre)
The CareerCentre offers counselling to students in connection with job, career, student jobs, etc., and the Centre has the knowledge about the labour market for graduates. The CareerCentre offers help to clarification of qualifications, writing the "good application", how to write a CV, etc., as well as the Centre also can inform about Employment Service, unemployment benefits and repayment of loan. Furthermore the CareerCentre runs the central internship and project portal, where you can find companies, which want to cooperate about e.g. your master thesis, bachelor project or other types of papers. In the job data base students can find student jobs and graduates can find jobs for newly graduates. The CareerCentre holds different arrangements such as: job search courses, career days, career networking, ec.
VejledningsCentret (The Counselling Centre).
The Counselling Centre has 3 main tasks.
Student counselling to current students at the university with regard to change of study programme, study programme structure and possibilities of combinations, doubts about choice of study programme, advice about method of study and examination technique, frustrations in connection with the study programme or personal or social problems which have an influence on the study programme. The Counselling Centre instructs other employees at the university in counselling techniques and other counselling areas to increase the competences of counselling according to the Strategy for Counselling (2006-08).
Furthermore the Counselling Centre has a close co-operation with the five faculties of the University. The focus of the co-operation is to strengthen the decentralized counselling and communication between the academic environment and the students as well as the Counselling Centre organizes and supports initiatives on the faculties, which purpose are to maintain the students and reduce retention rate.
International office
Coordination, advice and development in relation to SDU’s internationalisation activities in the area of education.
Counselling and information on exchange stays and internships abroad.
Admission and counselling of exchange and international students to ordinary study programmes/courses offered in English.
Establishment of bilateral exchange agreements, including Erasmus agreements.
Staff mobility under the Erasmus and Nordplus programmes.
Eksamenskontoret

The examinations office assists in questions about enrolment and withdrawal of enrolment of exams and lessons including information to the students regarding the Student Self-service webpage. Furthermore we assist in questions about print of exam results, first-year examination, exemptions and other questions related to examination.

Documentation and Quality manages a number of central operational, service and development tasks in relation to both internal and external users and interested parties. These tasks are typically linked to and associated with one of the functions which is a part of Documentation and Quality, namely:
Statistics
Analyses and summaries primarily on the basis of extracts from STADS:
Reports based on statutory requirements, including student full year’s work and reporting to Statistics Denmark
Traditional summaries, e.g.: application, admission, pass rate and degree statistics
Developmental and interdisciplinary tasks, e.g. progress analyses
Ad hoc summaries (inquiries on statistics of various type and extent)
Study Administrative System (STADS)
Support for STADS, iSTADS, Student self-service and STADS printouts
Subject development and testing of STADS, iSTADS, Student self-service and STADS printouts
Ad hoc lists on the basis of data from STADS
Participation in projects to which STADS supplies data or is otherwise involved
Quality development
Secretariat for quality development council
Caries out quality development projects in cooperation with the faculties
Establishment of information and documentation systems in the area of quality development
Participation in and coordination of evaluation and accreditation projects
Management and affiliated functions
Syddansk Elite og Support
The unit performs counselling and guidance for elite athletes and disabled students. The unit is a certified partner of Spillerforeningen though the Study4player project (this page is in Danish only).
Market communication
Prepares marketing materials on the study programmes: go-cards, merchandise, brochures, advertisements and flyers.
