Associate Professor Jeanette Lemmergaard is the new head of the Department of Marketing and Management
Jeanette Lemmergaard is associate professor of Human Resources Management and Internal Communication and has worked at SDU since 1997. She is also research director for Strategic Communication and Management, and head of studies for the MSc Business Administration and Languages programmes.
Management is very much the watchword of the new head of department. And according to Lemmergaard, she has always had the instincts of a manager:
“I have a real passion for the human resources aspect of management, and my vision is to cultivate individual talent. The framework must be securely in place to ensure individuals do their best, not only because they can, but because they simply can’t help it.
Marketing and Management is going to be a department where researchers are enthusiastic about research, dissemination of knowledge and teaching. And where those at the heart and core of the department – the administrative staff – have the ability and desire to support the tasks entrusted to the department. The department’s profile of strength in terms of research, education and dissemination must be supported and expanded through individual career planning and cultivation of everyone’s talents,” she explains.
Jeanette Lemmergaard is taking the baton from Simon Møberg Torp, who took up his post as Dean of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southern Denmark on 1 May.
