The Student Activity Funds can provide financial support to non-curricular academic, social or political activities.
The Student Activity Funds can provide financial support to non-curricular academic, social or political activities.
The criteria to apply to the Student Activity Funds are:
Fund 1: Social and political student activities
- Grants are provided political and social purposes for students at University of Southern Denmark.
- It is possible to apply for funding for any kind of student activity. It is however a priority that the granted initiatives benefit as wide a circle of students as possible.
- The means can only exceptionally be used to finance festive events, e.g. for music, guards, tents, etc. The means can never be used for food or drinks related to festive events.
Fund 2: Academic student activities
- Grants are provided to academic activities for students at University of Southern Denmark.
- It is possible to apply for funding for any kind of academically relevant activity for smaller groups of students at University of Southern Denmark.
- In order to be considered, the activity must already have achieved financial support in an academic environment; that is at Faculty or Institute level or from an association.
- It is only possible to apply for funding equivalent to the amount received from the academic environment.
- It is only possible to apply for funding for new initiatives and one-time activities.
- Deficit guarantees can exceptionally be provided.
For all activities regardless of fund, the following apply:
- In order to be considered, the application form must be elaborated satisfyingly.
- The activities must take place with basis in the geographical area of University of Southern Denmark.
- There is no formal upper limit as to how much can be applied for. It is however a priority in the allocation that grants benefit as broadly as possible.
- Each fund does not have a fixed amount.
- The Vice-Chancellor decides which activities will be granted.
- The application must be submitted well in advance of the activity. Events that have already been conducted will not be granted.

- Applications are processed continually. Applications are addressed to the Vice-Chancellor and are sent to the Vice-Chancellor's Office in Odense. Preferably by email: rektor@adm.sdu.dk.

Apart from the two funds, students in Jutland can furthermore apply funding for student activities from their respective Campus Managers.
The Student Activity Funds furthermore supplement means that are made available for elected student politicians at University of Southern Denmark.
