PhD students who began their programme prior to 1 February 2008 are entitled to conduct their PhD programme in accordance with Ministerial Order no. 114 of 8 March 2002, but assessment and defence of their thesis and the decision concerning the awarding of the PhD degree will take place according to the rules in Ministerial Order no. 18 of 14 January 2008, and the amendments to the Ministerial Order with effect from 2 June 2010.

PhD students who began their programme prior to 1 February 2008 have the option of applying to the Head of PhD School to be permitted to complete their programme in accordance with Ministerial Order no. 18 of 14 January 2008.
