As a PhD student at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences you will carry out an independent scientific project in a close dialogue with a supervisor which will result in a PhD thesis. You will have every opportunity to influence your own PhD programme and will also have the opportunity to study abroad at recognised universities, such as Stanford University and Oxford University, to create contacts with active research environments outside the University of Southern Denmark and to attend courses at international and national research institutions. You will also gain experience of teaching and counselling students.
PhD studies comprise:
- An independent scientific project with supervision
- PhD courses corresponding to approximately 30 ECTS points
- Teaching or other knowledge dissemination
- Study stays s abroad or at another research institution in Denmark
- A PhD thesis
- A public thesis defence
